The Chinese had a very strong sense of culture.  In fact, calligraphy, poetry, and painting were considered "The Three Perfections" in Ancient China, and were said to be "The height of artistic expression".

Art

The Shang people made many things from bronze. They made molds out of pottery and poured in molten bronze. When the bronze cooled they broke the mold away. They were the first to make weapons such as knives and spears which were made out of bronze.

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year was (and still is) a time of excitement for the Chinese people.  Although the famed Dragon Dance did not come until the Song Dynasty (960-1279 AD), the Chinese had many unique ways of celebrating the festival.  Like the Lion Dance, a sort of toned-down version of the Dragon Dance.  The Lion Dance involved less people but is still a beautiful sight.
