The people of the
Indus Valley had a irrigation-based
agriculture. Which gave them good soil.
They domesticated animals and food. Some of
the things they domesticated were, rice, wheat, and
barley, and they cultivated dates and cotton.
The animals that they domesticated were pigs,
horses, camels, and possibly elephants. They
were also among some of the first in the world to
have kept chickens, and they also had dogs,
buffalo, and camels. The people who farmed
would produce wheat, barley, dates, and melons as
their main crops. They also grew sesame for
its oil, and cotton for clothing.
