family came out and they all moved to Moline, Illinois. Business grew and grew and they had an easier time getting steel from Pittsburgh than England. Today it is sold in Europe, South America, Africa, and the U.S.A., and is the largest farm company in the World selling more than one million products every year. On May 17, 1886 at the age of eighty-two John Deere died. His funeral was the biggest funeral ever to happen in Moline. Three thousand people came to pay their last respects. John taught people that things could always be better. One of the 3 plows that John made in 1838 stands in the Smithsonian Institution, in Washington DC. The plow was shipped from Moline to the Smithsonian shortly after John's funeral. On its shaft are the words "John Deere".
