There are two main
agricultural holidays: Passover and Shavuot.
In Passover the Israelites could not eat anything
that had flour in it. The Israelites had no
time to let the bread rise so they had to eat
'Matza'. Matza is bread without yeast, which means
it is flat bread. Shavout is based on the
first fruit of the seven species: wheat, barley,
grapes, figs, olives, and dates.
