5 Views of Venus - copyright Calvin J. HamiltonVenus has an interior that bears much resemblance to Earth's. There is an iron core around 6000 kilometers in diameter with a molten rocky mantle that makes up most of the planet's inside. The surface also seems to be very sturdy relative to Earth due to the fact that pressures of the inside are released in smaller regions all over the surface rather than through plate faults (as on Earth).
