Venus has an odd rotation in that it rotates extremely slow, so slow that one Venus day takes longer than one Venus year! It takes 243 Earth days for Venus to rotate on its axis once and 225 days for it to go around the Sun once. It is also rotating retrograde, meaning that it is rotating in reverse! Thus an observer on the surface of Venus would see the Sun rise in West and set in the East.
Also, Venus and Earth are tidally locked (they always have the same face toward each other) when they are at their closest approach. This is due to the synchronization of Venus's rotation and orbital periods with Earth's. The exact cause of this is still not known.
Rotation
