COMICS & POEMS 2: Far Away Youth, Poetry
Far Away Youth
Far away a youth was I
A tosled bay of ten.
Yellow hair tangled
Tossed by summer winds.
A tin can by my side
I picked berries bright.
My eyes shone happily
At this can filled delight.
Now I am mellow aged
With artificial teeth
But I remember will that
Yellow haired bay
Of years gone by
When a happy youth was I
Now old tears fall upon
My wrinkled cheek.
