MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT 2: Blink No More
The three members of Blink 182, a pop/punk band from California, have gone their separate ways. Officially, the band is on a break, but they have no plans to reunite. The three members of Blink are Travis Barker, Thomas DeLonge and Mark Hoppus. They have released seven albums, including a Greatest Hits album, and have been touring for over ten years.
The height of Blink’s popularity was during their album Enema of the State. During this period they won a Blockbuster Music award, a Teen Choice award and played at the MTV Music Awards in 2000. It was at the MTV Music Awards they played “All the Small Things.” This song, and more specifically the video of the song, made them world famous. The video and song made fun of current boy band favorites NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys.
All three of the members are married and have one child each. The official reason for the hiatus is that the members want to spend more time with their families. After ten years of constant touring and recording, they haven’t had much time to devote to being husbands and fathers, and they want that to change. The door is still open for a reunion and for more albums, but nothing is planned right now.
