COMICS & POEMS 2: When Races Embrace, Poetry
My Pet
My pet, my pug, how I adore
You meet me daily at the door
I have to leave you many hours
Yet you forgive, 'cause love is ours.
You never let me lonely be
You always have a kiss for me
At night, you stay close by my side
You seem to sense when I am tried.
Your eyes, they speak of how you feel
And deep inside, your thoughts reveal
That you are glad we're best of friends
And we'll remain 'til life shall end
