MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT 1: New Film Coming To Broadway

“High Fidelity” is the next film that is making the Broadway crossover. The 2000 film, based on a novel by Nick Hornby, is set to open as a musical in December of this year. The novel is based on a love-confused record store owner who can't figure out how to hold onto a relationship.

Costing ten million dollars, the musical will have a score by Tom Kitt and Amanda Green. Producers Jeffery Seller, Robyn Goodman, and Kevin McCollum, all responsible for the 2004 Tony winner, “Avenue Q,” are looking forward to the opening of their eleven-person cast.

The musical will first show at the Colonial Theater in Boston, Massachusetts, before coming to bigger audiences on the Broadway stage.
