COMICS & POEMS 2: What Music Does, Poetry
What Music Does
Music plays a tune on our nerves like a violin,
Stretching each fiber like a soothing lotion.
Pleasing the heart and the ears,
Just listening to the melodies we hear.
Music can cause the feet to dance,
Makes the whole body want to prance.
It starts at the toes, travels to the head,
Then reaches deep inside, removes all dread.
Music supplies dreams, joys and lightness,
Comes complete with built-in brightness.
It journeys through the soul,
Then exists back out the tippy toes.
Music can quicken a heartbeat,
Puts magic into stumbling feet.
It pleases the spirit and lets it soar
High above the clouds, just outside the door.
