COMICS & POEMS 2: Autumn Leaves, Poetry

Autumn Leaves

I watch the children out at play
on a bright, sunny, autumn day.
Up in the air, they throw the leaves,
and watch them sail in the gentle breeze.

They gather them up again from all around,
red, yellow, orange, and brown.
Leaves, leaves, leaves everywhere,
blowing in the sweet fall air.

One by one, they fall from the trees,
those beautifully shaped colored leaves.
Here they come, flowing down
to find there resting place on the ground.

Until the trees are bare,
and the snow begins to fall,
the children will enjoy the leaves,
and the beauty of it all.
