MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT 2: Movies Keep Kids Entertained
As the weather cools down in much of the United States and many summer outdoor activities are coming to a halt, the film industry has plans to keep kids entertained.
Currently "Valiant," a Disney cartoon movie about a fearless pigeon who wants to join the Royal Homing Pigeon service, is out in theaters. Another current film is "The Greatest Game Ever Played," a movie about an amateur golf player who makes it big in the sport.
In early November, the classic character Chicken Little is expected to have a cartoon movie all his own. Chicken Little is famous for worrying about the sky falling. Chances are he'll still be worried about the sky in his upcoming movie!
In December, "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," a movie based on the classic book, is bound to take audiences of all ages on an adventure into new lands.
Finally, in January, Disney is expected to show a gripping basketball movie called "Glory Road." The film tells the story of Texas Western's basketball team, which was the first all African-American starting lineup.
Once cold weather hits and outdoor activities are limited, kids will be able to find plenty of indoor entertainment at the movie theater.
