COMICS & POEMS 2: Wildflowers, Poetry

Wildflowers

I took a trip on a bus one day
And noticed the wildflowers along the way
As if they were painted for all to view
Displaying different colors of different hue
Vibrant colors each, but all together
Making a carpet to wave in summer weather
You could almost hear the blue bell ring
Or the yellow thistle like canaries sing
And the fire weed with bright red flame
Surrounded flowers of unfamiliar names

Now you may notice the different trees
As they nod and sway in the breeze
The fir tree that is always green
Or the poplar birch may adorn the scene
And cattails in sloughs along the way
Or foxtail grass like an ocean spray
But when you notice detail to pass long hours
Take a special look at the pretty wildflowers
Though almost overlooked, they play their part
Quietly endearing themselves to every heart
