We all know that red means stop and green means go because traffic lights are commonly found on streets around the world. However, it was not always that way. On December 10, 1868, the world's first traffic light began operation in London.



Thomas Edison invented the light bulb in 1879. People in the entertainment industry first used it to light up a theater three years later. The very first theater lit by electric lights was illuminated in Boston, Massachusetts on December 11, 1882. Approximately 650 lamps were used to illuminate the stage and theater for a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta.



During the holiday season, many people enjoy watching Christmas specials on television. Charlie Brown is one popular character that is frequently seen on TV. On December 9, 1965 A Charlie Brown Christmas premiered.
