AROUND THE WORLD 4: Strongest Child In The World
Richard Sandrak was born in Ukraine, a country in the south-eastern part of Central Europe. Richard's parents moved to the United States when Richard was only two. His mother Lena, an aerobic trainer, discovered her son's power at a clinical doctor's visit. Five adults had to tie the baby boy up to be able to give him a shot. Richard's father, Pavel, is an expert in martial arts and body fitness, and he started training the boy at the age of two.
Under a strict diet and physical fitness regimen, Richard became the strongest child in the world. Richard, also known as little Hercules, became a legend with his strength in body lifting, flexibility, and martial arts.
Fame, however, has a price. With a tense focus on Richard's body shape, his father never allowed him to taste pizza, ice cream or to have any friends until the age of twelve. Home-schooling Richard gave his father a flexible schedule to work on body building with his son. Richard was also given an unknown food supplement drink three times a day. His father mostly prepared the drink and the ingredients of the powder remains unknown.
Some critics believe that Richard's father was so keen about his son's career, which meant a good income to the family, that he was accused of depriving Richard of a normal life.
