BEST PLACES TO LIVE

Money magazine printed its choices for the best places to live in the country. San Francisco, California came out on top of the list for the best big city. The reason San Francisco was chosen according to Money magazine was because of its many museums, sports teams, and good amount of restaurants. Other reasons were because of its wide range of possible outdoor activities for people to enjoy such as swimming, hiking, and skiing. The No. 2 best city was Austin, Texas and No. 3 was New York City.

Other top three lists were also printed and are as follows:

  • Best small cities: Rochester, Minnesota; Columbia, Missouri; and Boulder, Colorado.
  • Lowest violent crime: Appleton, Wisconsin; Nashua, New Hampshire; and Danbury, Connecticut.
  • High school graduation: State College, Pennsylvania; Anchorage, Alaska; and Des Moines, Iowa
  • Best future job growth: Las Vegas, Nevada; Punta Gorda, Florida; and Austin, Texas
