Notah Begay
won the Michelob Golf Championship in Williamsburg, Virginia on October
10, 1999. Begay came from behind to win this championship. He was down
by two strokes with only two holes to play. He came back and forced
a playoff with second place finisher Tom Byrum.
Begay
is now a two-time winner on the PGA Tour and a strong candidate for
"Rookie of the Year". He is 29th in money earnings this year with $1,111,114.00.
He may even qualify for the Tour Championship and The Masters! The top
30 money winners at the end of the regular season can play for the Tour
Championship and the top 40 can play in The Masters.
Begay will
play in the World Match Play Championship this weekend in England.
