NFL President Resigns

The president of the NFL resigned on Tuesday, October 26, 1999 in the middle of the football season. Neil Austrian has been the president of the NFL for the past 8 years until this past week. He worked under the supervision of the Commissioner of the NFL, Paul Tagliabue. The NFL has stated that Mr. Austrian will not be replaced at this time, rather the people who worked under him will now report directly to the commissioner.
