ATP TOUR CHAMPIONSHIPS

The ATP Tour World Championships are taking place this week in Hannover, Germany. Andre Agassi is proving that he is the No. 1 player in the world.

Agassi beat Pete Sampras 6-2, 6-2 on November 23, 1999, in the early rounds of the tournament. This match was only the third match for Sampras since his back and hip injuries about three months ago.

The ATP Tour Championship is a round-robin event, which means that each tennis player plays every player within his group and the top two players in the group advance to the semifinals. The groups are divided as follows:

Red Group: Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, Gustavo Kuerten, and Nicolas Lapentti.

White Group: Thomas Enqvist, Yevgeny Kafelnikov, Todd Martin, Nicolas Kiefer.

The ATP Tour World Championships will be decided this weekend. Kidsnewsroom.com will follow the results.
